Brothers at War The Old Man Syrah 2023

There’s plenty to like in this Eden Valley-sourced Syrah. Opens with an intensity of slightly earthy, dark fruits, with more primary cherry and bright red raspberry notes. The palate is rich and quite succulent, with an excellent balance of light oak treatment and tannins. It was made with a largely traditional method, and then pressed into 90% seasoned oak with just a hint of new French. Excellent current drinking wine, but it can be cellared for at least another eight years.
