Chateau Tanunda Terroirs of the Barossa Eden Valley Shiraz 2019

Share

The 2019 vintage bought some challenges to the Barossa Valley thanks to the hot and dry weather which lingered for much of the growing season. But the year also helped to craft many upfront, fruit forward styles that are ready to drink from a young age, such as this. Deep ruby in colour, this Eden Valley Shiraz is a fleshy, ripe style, and more what you’d expect from the Barossa Valley floor. It has lashings of fruit pastilles, dried figs and boysenberry aromas with a light dusting of more traditional Eden Valley characters including white pepper and Bay leaf. The generosity of fruit continues in the mouth with raisiny edges and drying chewy tannins. It’s screaming out for flame grilled steak.
