La Destinée The Lovers Rosé 2022

Share

On paper, it’s a bit of an odd bunch of red grapes – Shiraz, Grenache and . . .  Pinot Noir. In the glass, they come together in La Destinée as one smart, modern rosé and knock the style out of the park. Palest of pale pinks, a mere blush. Gentlest of scents, not too obvious, just fresh and vital in red berry, cherry and tea rose. There’s a fine-ness here, an understated charm that rests in the delivery of light red berry fruits, cherry, cranberry, red apple and a lingering musk confection note. The wine speaks of summer, soft spices and gentle florals. Slippery over the tongue, it dances in bright acidity.
