Geoff Merrill G&W Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Share

This outstanding Cabernet comes off vineyards in Coonawarra and McLaren Vale. It’s a combination that works really well. The smooth elegance of Coonawarra with its sustained length and structural core is evident while the fleshier plumpness of McLaren Vale’s middle palate fills in any gaps, pulling the whole thing together. It has 22 months in a mix of French and American oak but only 10% was new. Lifted aromas of blackcurrant and perfumed violets with a powerful and insistent palate that extends to a very long finish. Super value for this quality.
