Château Tanunda The Château Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

It’s funny how just one sniff of a wine can send you off on a journey. The scent of turned earth, charry smoke, field herbs and fruits, and suddenly I’m walking down a country road in the Eden Valley. The only thing missing is the smell of eucalyptus. If this young single vineyard Cabernet smells like a walk in the country, it boasts the taste of the country, too. The fruit is sweet and brimming in red and black fruited flavour nicely intertwined with herbs, baking spices and mocha chocolate. Friendly and approachable through and through with gentle tannins presiding. All round good drinking pleasure now, and there’s plenty of energy for further ageing in the bottle.
