Château Yaldara Icon Shiraz 2022

Share

Everything about this wine speaks of big gun attitude: an impressive bottle, cork closure and that magic word, “Icon”. It’s made to meet all the resulting expectations with concentrated black fruit and dark chocolate notes leading the nose, almost in a rum and raisin like vibe. That includes a good blast of sweet, coconutty oak that slides into the palate as well as the wine builds increasing power, hitting its full bodied peak with a generous dusting of black pepper, those intense black fruits – almost dried – remaining all the way with a surprising squish of blackberry acidity in the finish. If big is beautiful in your wine world, then this will give you plenty of joy.
