Cirillo Estate The Vincent Grenache 2019

Few winemakers take Grenache quite as seriously as Marco Cirillo. Having worked with one of the world’s oldest Grenache vineyards for most of his life, Marco has been thinking about what makes this grape variety tick for decades. And while The Vincent Grenache is his wine for early drinking it still shows the depth that great examples of this grape variety can display.

It is a bright medium cherry colour and, while a little shy to begin, it shows bright and complex raspberry, earth, spice and old oak aromas that show great purity and focus. It is then dry and silky on the palate with concentrated and supple fruits well balanced with sandy tannins. The fruit is generous and user-friendly but also holds savoury leathery and earthy touches that emerge with a bit of air. A delicious Grenache that is great value. Grab some here.
