Clandestine Vineyards McLaren Vale Grenache 2018

This is another of the initial range of Clandestine Vineyards using the wonderful fruit of McLaren Vale’s Blewitt Springs. The vineyard itself was planted back in 1923 so it also brings some marvelous old vine complexity to the table. Beautifully perfumed and seductive grenache with a brightness and lively expression that captures the essence of this variety. The use of old large French oak has allowed the perfumed rose petal notes of the fruit to emerge without compromise. It’s medium bodied and just so yummy with the chalky tannins shaping and focusing the long palate.
