Conte Estate Vine Shed Shiraz 2021

From an absolutely cracking vintage in McLaren Vale, the wine spent two years maturing in French oak. A dark magenta hue, this offers earthy tones with notes of mushrooms, soy, dark berries, vegemite, mulberries, beef stock and an intriguing impression of a dusty dirt road. There is oak, but it is in the process of integration. The wine has juicy acidity, fine tannins and medium length. It should continue to provide pleasure for the next four to eight years.
