Crabtree RC Riesling 2024

A limited-edition release pointing to the vintage being assessed by the producer as of exceptional quality. Sourced from a block adjacent to the winery’s cellar door, whole bunch pressed for a focus on free-run juice. This has all the hallmarks of a finessed expression of Clare Valley’s (Watervale specifically) icon white variety, aromas of not only lime and orchard florals, but also minerally rock dust and chalk, which thread evenly through the palate. More lemon notes also appear once the palate engages. Tight, assured and precisely cut, if ever there was a Riesling you can call powerful, yet still elegant to sip on its own, here you have it. A wine that will age finely for a decade and more.
