Craggy Range Te Kahu 2024

There is grandeur here with a cavalier sense of style. Cassis, licorice all-sorts, bracken and turned potting soil. A fine thread of creeping ivy, bay leaf and squashed mulberry. Tannins are aching fine, pulling at the side of your palate with a gentle tug. Acidity is woven well guiding the wine down the palate. This is drinking very well on release and yes it will develop, soften and move into the carob and creamy coffee tones but I would be inclined to drink this within its first 5 years, so is its assimilation now. A wonder with black pepper crusted lamb.
