By any measure, a fine young Chardonnay for the price showing plenty of verve and freshness. Immediately approachable with everything ready to go from the fresh-cut stone fruits, citrus and attractive mealy, nougat notes on the bouquet, through to a palate that hums along with a warm texture. Really fills out when tasted, expanding into complex notes of peach, nectarine, mandarin skin with some butteryness (but not too much). The last Kinship Chardonnay release was a stand-out, and it’s good to see it definitely wasn’t a one-off.
