Dalrymple Cave Block Chardonnay 2019

Share

Even in the middle of Summer, there is still a distinct chill in the night air at Dalrymple in Tasmania’s Pipers River. It’s unsurprising that this region is home to some of the country’s finest sparkling wines. This is a delightfully fine and detailed Chardonnay which clearly showcases its cool climate origins thanks to a tantalising mix of white flower and tangy grapefruit aromas with doughy/praline barrel ferment and maturation along for the ride. It’s then distinctly chalky and juicy, with zesty acidity running the show alongside citrus/sherbet flavours. There is lots to love although the finish is slightly short.
