Days & Daze Freethinker Shiraz 2023

Share

Bright purple in the glass – a chirpy reflection on what this wine is all about. It’s the messaging, starting with its name “Freethinker” and its front label sub-titling which reads” Organic/ minimal intervention/vegan. Turn the bottle around and bingo: Not your Dad’s shiraz”. Say no more. A wine aimed at getting younger mouths to swallow some Shiraz – any Shiraz – by insinuation more than vinous desirability. The wine itself clocks in at 14%, doesn’t specify regionality, offers a pretty straight line in crimson fruits with a medium-weight crunch mid-palate. Chill it, make a Sangria to benefit from the best of its abilities.
