Devil’s Corner Chardonnay 2022

Full malolactic fermentation in 26% new French oak. The comfortable aromas of well  handled Chardonnay are all here. Yellow peach, golden apple and yellow plums, cradled by butter toast, trifle and grated whole nutmeg. Fruit stands at the centre of some elegant natural acidity that is unforced and allowed to ebb and flow freely. Some almond nougat and creme fraiche creaminess rounds out a very tidy Tassie chardonnay indeed. Some white polenta and medallions of slipper lobster would be very welcome indeed.
