Taylors Limestone Coast Clare Valley Shiraz 2019

You’ve gotta love the fact that when you open a bottle of Taylors entry level shiraz you have a wine ready to go, the very essence of youthful vitality. And it’s the same story year in, year out. It hits the price point with a bang in the most assured manner.

Delightfully plummy and full of spice on the bouquet. Typically soft and plush in the mouth with black cherry, plums, chocolate and spice. Hints of a Cherry Ripe kind of confection, too, which few will baulk at. It then rises above its station in structure with firm tannins wrapped around the fruit. It’s a forward wine, highly approachable, too, which is in keeping with past performances and lingers deliciously before closing. It makes for a perfect pair with the estate riesling in that both rarely skip a beat.
