Domaine Naturaliste Discovery Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2021

Tasting the classic Margaret River blend is a bit of a step back in time. Back in the day, before Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, wineries could hardly keep up with the demand as these wines make the ultimate Summer drink. Today the wines are also better than ever as winemakers have tinkered with the style and discovered how a gentle touch of oak can make all the difference. This version almost has a Marlborough feel to it with zesty Sauvignon Blanc running the show.

Very pale in colour, it opens with piquant aromas of lime zest and green herbs plus some just ripe guava in support with the barest hint of oak. The palate is then dry and super crisp with mouthwatering acidity underpinning citrus and slightly sweaty flavours. It’s young and tight so perfectly built for drinking chilled in the sun.
