Dowie Doole Superiore Lagrein Grenache Shiraz 2021

Share

Sourced from subregions Blewitt Sprints and Tatachilla. A blend of Lagrein, Grenache and Shiraz. Inky in glass the wine opens with blackcurrant, prune plums, violet and lilac. Dark cherries, dried blueberries and potting soil. Porcini mushroom, carob and dark chocolate shavings. There is a real earthiness to the wine coupled with vanilla spices. Dried licorice root, clove and allspice. Fresh bay leaf and long pepper. Succulent acidity and front palate chewy tannins. Fruit is concentrated and supported by varnished oak characters. This is styled to the final chord and really aimed at over delivering in flavour and concentration. Rich, opulent and unctuous. Drink now with texas smoked brisket.
