Previous vintages of this wine have collected some bling at wine shows, and this one follows suit. Aromatic and complex. There’s deep fruit notes of blueberry, cherry and raspberry, some whole bunch influence of jalapeño pepper, and wrapped in sweet oak and cinnamon spice. A medium bodied, dry and focussed palate. The tannins are papery and fine, with some mid-palate phenolic chew coming from the stalky influence. Savoury herbs and spices over those dark cherry flavour layers result in a quality Pinot Noir with expression and balance.
