Faustino Rivero Ulecia Crianza 2021

A blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha from high altitude vineyards, fermentation here is in stainless steel before maturation for a year in older American oak barrels. Purple/red, the nose gives us vanilla, cherries, chocolate, plums and herbs. Supporting aromas of leather, aniseed and cassis swirl around before a sour cherry note kicks in on the finish. A slightly savoury style, with fine tannins and very good length, enjoy this over the next six to ten years. So much to like here – terrific value.
