Feudo Arancio Grillo 2020

A very welcome surprise when the new vintage of the Feudo Arancio Grillo turned up at the door – it’s now under screwcap and the wine is better than ever thanks to that added freshness that screwcaps provide over cork, especially for early drinking wines such as this. Pale gold in colour and then it opens up with bright, clean fruits of nectarine and peach. But there is also a delicious freshness providing good aromatic precision and focus. The palate follows suit with mouthfilling fruits plus some savoury nutty complexity providing a distinctly European edge before crisp acidity tightens up the finish. A very smart vintage for this label.
