Gaelic Cemetery Celtic Farm Riesling 2020

This wine is made from select parcels of fruit drawn off the Gaelic Cemetery Estate vineyard which was planted in 1996 and showcases the superb purity and focus that have become the hallmarks of their wines. It’s pale in colour and already quite expressive and powerful despite its youth – pithy lime and bath salt scented fruits lead the way with an array of citrus tones also in play. The palate is more subdued with stony citrus flavours and well integrated acidity providing a long and silky finish that shows good balance and subtlety. It’s still a little closed and could do with a couple of years in bottle to build flavour when it will be perfect with salt and pepper calamari.
