Gralyn Estate Reserve Chardonnay 2018

I’ve tasted this wine over a couple of years now and each time it seems to get better. For me this is starting to move into its sweet spot. Engaging aromas of stone fruit and quince with a struck match edge. The palate kicks into gear to elevate the wine into a heady zone with a combination of minerals and butterscotch with a faint smoky oak backdrop. The length is impressive with a fine acidity doing the job with the extra year in bottle adding another dimension.
