Quite a shy perfume to start with delicate green pear, pickled herbs and lemon sitting coy in the glass. It’s quite tightly wound at this stage, but it does unfurl somewhat with air to show some citrus blossom lift and just ripe white peach along with a delicate glimmer of lees-derived sourdough. The palate has a lovely pillowy texture, though the fruit is still quite coiled within – white peach, white grapefruit and lemon juice and cashew cream sit above fine cedar before an assertively taut citrusy acid line wraps around it all like a corset, pulling it linear and long to a citrus-laden finish of good length. The bones are there, but this is too tightly wound for now and needs time to flesh out in bottle.
