Ludo Wines Mt Torrens Alluvium Pinot Grigio 2021

Share

Hand-harvested grapes fermented with native yeast and racked into a single French hogshead and kept on lees for 10 months. A glistening apricot hue in the glass with aromas of quince, cantaloupe and tangerine skin. A touch of dried pineapple and pear purée lingers. There are distinct ripe peachy qualities on the palate with a driving force of acidity and gentle kernel nuttiness. Skin tannins and taut and gritty but interplay nicely with the abundance of fruit. A wine for the lovers of skinsy wines and a clean and well focused example. Drink now with fruit cheese. I’m kidding don’t EVER eat that awful stuff. This would look beautiful beside a pork terrine with mustard and pickles.
