Hewitson Lu Lu Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2021

The Hewitson wine style is more about poise and delicacy rather than sheer brute force. They are never the biggest or most powerful wines but there is a rare finesse – they seem almost designed with the table in mind. This sauvignon blanc shows good purity of fruit aromas – pine lime and guava with a faint dusting of herbs, the fruit bright and youthful. The subtle fruit style continues on to the palate where more of sauvignon’s green herbal elements arise which provides a good contrast to juicy tropical fruits. Crisp and light weight in the mouth, it finishes silky and pure, so perfect for a goat’s cheese salad.
