Hollydene Estate Hill Reserve Shiraz 2019

Share

The hot and dry 2019 Hunter Valley vintage has turned out powerful and generous Shiraz as illustrated by this Upper Hunter red. Deep ruby in colour, it offers up plentiful aromas of plums and fruit pastilles with a strong undercurrent of dark earth and spice. It’s then juicy and succulent, but also carries an attractive rustic and savoury side with more leathery/spicy nuances on quite a crisp palate. There is a youthful energy to this wine with a couple more years in the cellar ideal to see its best.
