Howard Park Flint Rock Pinot Noir 2023

Select blocks are hand-picked and some cold soaked. 15% whole bunch, stainless steel and older oak ferment.  Crushed granite opens with delicate red fruit building in intensity. Tart cranberry and red cherry are followed by juicer, darker fruit tones, spring blossom, and toasty wood spice.  A fine dusting of Dutch cocoa powder finishes the picture. The palate echoes the nose, with an iodine, meatiness to the finish that adds interest.  This is a great value, fruit-driven Pinot, more in the mid-weight realm than the feather-light category.
