Howard Park Miamup Chardonnay 2023

Share

Fermented in older French oak and stainless steel tank. Lees stirred from the end of ferment to malo, with 10 months on lees in total. Creamy and nougatine thanks to some malolactic fermentation. Lemon sorbet, a lick of marzipan and lemon meringue pie with a smattering of spring blossom. Inviting and pretty, this is a soft and easily impressionable chardonnay with a lick of spice and flint on the nose. The palate is creamy and almond mealy in texture, with plenty of pithy interest and a fine line of acidity keeping things taut. A great value Chardonnay with plenty on offer and a decent length too. The toasty oak talks a little too loudly, but the overall picture is enjoyable.
