Howard Park Museum Release Mount Barker Riesling 2014

Share

Such a superb Western Australian Riesling that really showcases how Mount Barker, on its day, can make some of the best wines in the country. Despite some age and its golden colour, this wine still explodes with youthful vitality; cascading melon, pear and exotic marmalade aromas have richness and intensity. It is then dry and punchy, having put on some weight since its younger years with beautifully textural fruits underlined by a spine of chalky acidity. Again powerful but detailed at the same time before a long and aromatic finish. A great wine with plenty still left in the tank.
