Brilliant A.C. Byrne & Co McLaren Vale Biodynamic Shiraz 2018

Share

WINNER of a Winepilot Trophy for the greatest value wines in Australia.

Some wines are hard to believe and this is one of them. This exclusive to ALDI is organic – no hardcore chemicals used in the production of this wine – tick. It is has also got serious power and even subtlety – another tick. Priced at less than $10 it needs to be on every Shiraz lovers shopping list as this is the real deal.

The wine is deeply coloured and shows the typical power of the warm McLaren Vale climate all the way – there is tarry, blackberry almost chocolatey fruit. But underneath is where the wine gets serious – some spice, a bit of eucalypt and even baked earth plus supple tannins lifting this far above your average supermarket Shiraz. It’s a great wine and also has the power to even improve over the next 3 to 5 years. Put a case away, if you can….
