John Walker & Sons Bicentenary Blend 28 Years Old

Share

It has been 200 years since John Walker first opened his store in Kilmarnock near Glasgow. No doubt the bicentenary edition of John Walker has long been in the planning and unsurprisingly it is absolutely fabulous and delivers all that you would expect from a top-shelf 28 Year Old Scotch, and more. Despite its age, the spirit is still beautifully bright and fresh radiating with aromas of ginger nut, honey, citrus, Sherry oak and woodsmoke with a distinct edge of seaspray. It is then creamy and silky in texture, the spirit powerful but at the same time understated before finishing supremely long and silky. This is one of the rare ultra-premium spirits that lives up to expectations and surpasses them.
