Super slurpy, this packs in a lot of deliciousness in for the price. Grenache-led aromatics show the way in rosemary, anise and pepper amid aromas of ripe black berries and smoky oak. Love the spicy, fragrant edge to this wine, the generosity of fruit so plump and sweet and the well-integrated oak and tannins – it makes a big immediate impression. Balanced and supple with some distinctive Mataro leafiness, fennel and sage chiming in across the middle palate. Flavours run deep through to the finish. Has ‘drink me’ written all across it.
