Knee Deep Birdhouse Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

A very fine Margaret River Cabernet which has spent a year in French oak, 15% of which was new, before bottling. Deep maroon/garnet hue, we have an alluring nose with flavours entwined throughout – chocolate, cloves, tobacco leaves, aniseed, florals and mulberries. Good oak integration, hints of vanilla and classic Margaret River Cabernet notes here. The wine walks the tightrope between finesse and concentration. It has focus and balance with firm, ever-so-slightly gravely tannins and excellent length. This has real promise but is also very attractive now, enjoy over the next six to ten years.
