The undeniable richness of the GinGin Chardonnay clone is being tempered by the introduction of other clones under winemaker, Travis Clydesdale, and the result is a finer form of elegance. However, the relaxed, inviting charm of Margaret River Chardonnay remains in ’24. Citrus fruits with grapefruit and lemon in the lead light up the scent with a touch of apple and spice. This is ripe citrus territory with cumquat, apple and steely lemony notes, gentle spice and restrained nutty oak. There’s a naturally assured balance of acidity on display. Finishes on point, a crisp, lively and complex young Chardonnay.
