This is a stellar release from Lane’s End that was immensely enjoyable from beginning to end. It welcomes you with beautiful aromas of lemon, wax, green apple, white flowers and nectarine, which absolutely sing. On the palate there’s lovely lemon, apple and nectarine fruit with loads of acid and minerality and a slight oiliness to it that give it a wonderful mouthfeel. This is the kind of wine where it’s understandable if you finish the glass really quickly or savour it over a few hours, as it’s immensely satisfying, and I feel it will only get better with a few more years in the bottle.
