Larmandier-Bernier Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Les Chemins d’Avize 2012

A grower Vintage Champagne, made from 100% Chardonnay, and the flagship of the Larmandier-Bernier family. The grapes come from two tiny plots in Avize, Chemin de Plivot and Chemins de Flavigny, which the winery acquired in 2009 with vines over 50 years old.
The first impression is that the aroma is wonderful and extremely charming. Bright lemon golden colour with delicate, soft and rich bubbles which lead to a rich aroma of yellow apple skin and rich straw with yellow peaches. There is high acidity, and very low sugar content at only 2g / L, but the fruit is still rich. Various flavours are found on the palate that beautifully match the feel and weight of the wine before a long finish. Four characteristics embody this wine; fresh aromatics, a prominent salt-like character with perfect gathering power and a rounded, smooth palate.
