Lindeman’s Limestone Ridge Shiraz Cabernet 2018

Share

The marriage of these two great Coonawarra varieties, a combination that ascends to what is known as the Great Australian Red, deservingly so at this quality level. Subtle regional eucalypt in the nose over a deep well of dark plum and blackberry, some tar and char underlying. As is clearly house style, the concentration of fruit is paramount in the crafting of this and its Trio siblings, yet that still allows for brightness and lift in the palate rather than just being about weight and structure, prompting a finish that is supported by stylistic tannins and reverberating with fruit and flavour. This blend across the whole genre has such a range of expression – here with an earnest and considered individuality.
