The pride of Marchesi di Gresy from a parcel of Martinenga produced only in the best vintages. Also, the oldest wine in the current release; bright garnet colour with orange reflections. Lipstick, scorched earth, cured meats, roasted root vegetables, hints of toasted fennel seed, and blood orange. Lots of layers extending the solid dried cherry, raspberry and rose core. Bespoke balance and integration across the palate; assertive tannins as expected with rich braised flavours and a familiar refinement. Seriously complex and polished finish.
