Mitchell Watervale Riesling 2024

Share

Pear, lemon rind, kumquat and green apple intermingle with delicate cinnamon, nectarine skin and smoky grilled peach. It’s surprisingly open knit aromatically for such a young Riesling. The palate has a lovely subtle glow of residual sugar upfront, dancing around with white nectarine, lemon, and peach skin within a lovely pillowy texture before rolling waves of stone fruit acidity freshen the palate and draw length. This is approachable now, though will age in the medium term thanks to its balance and bright acidity. As always, striking value for money here.
