Richard Hamilton Ghost Hills Shiraz 2022

Sweet vanilla, clove and liquorice lead the aromas first up before a welcome cut of star anise, cinnamon, blackberry, dark plum, and graphite. It’s a savoury affair once the sweet oak abates somewhat. The palate is rich, ripe and heady though still with a sense of harmony. Blackberry pie, black liquorice, pepper, and subtle leather are framed by fine, grainy, coffee-laced tannins and graphite acidity to a nice, even finish of good length. Balance is the key attribute here, keeping a ripe and rich Shiraz nicely in check. Very good value for money here.
