Monterra Fleurieu Cabernets 2020

Share

The magical combination of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc is on show here although in quite a juicy package. There is some beautifully bright and pretty leafy fruit pastille aromas supported by subtle oak. Attractive touches of cedar also provide a nice savoury edge. The palate is then quite chunky – layers of dark fleshy fruits are well supported by good acidity and some chewy tannins. It will improve a little with age but is also delicious right now thanks to its impressive vitality and youthful appeal.
