Norfolk Rise Vineyard Where the Wind Blows Chardonnay 2023

From the Mt Benson region, the grapes are pressed directly into tanks and then removed from the lees before fermentation begins. 20% goes into French oak, which also underwent malolactic fermentation. Regular lees stirring was designed to increase the complexity. A pale straw with flecks of green, the nose exhibits notes of peaches, citrus, lemons, figs and ginger. There is focused acidity and the wine is well balanced with a flick of oak. Showing medium to good length, this will drink well over the next four to five years.
