Oliver’s Taranga Vermentino 2021

Share

Vermentino and fresh sardines is one of the great matches for food and wine. Tangy fruits of Vermentino beautifully cut though the oily fish with their textures also perfectly suited. What I would not give for a plate of sardines off the barbecue to enjoy with this version from Oliver’s Taranga. It is a little more delicate than most with its pale straw colour followed by gentle melon, straw and preserved lemon aromas. The palate is then round and well supported by tangy, balanced acidity with some spicy touches to finish. It’s the perfect dry white to refresh on a hot Summer’s day.
