Parker Estate Terra Rossa Merlot 2023

A Merlot seasoned in French oak – 10% new, for 12 months with a light, yet eye-catching ruby red colour. The nose doesn’t shy away, displaying a decent, and quite luxurious, array of red plums and Morello cherries, with a side of macerated red violets, vanilla pods, tomato bush leaf and a sprinkle of oregano on top. The palate is smooth in texture, dressed up by the so-French-so-chic oak over its medium-bodied figure. The length misses its momentum because of the cacophony produced by the alcohol, which has the last word over the prettiness and drinkability of the wine.
