UMAMU Estate Shiraz 2019

Share

The vines for this single vineyard Shiraz were planted in 1978. The wine sees ten months in French oak barrels and the colour is a deep red/garnet. The aromas include warm earth notes, red fruits, some slightly rustic touches, leather, animal skins and mushrooms. A hint of black fruits lurking in the background, the palate lifts and we have a core of sweet cherries. Supple texture, fine balance, good focus, fine if ever-so-slightly firm tannins and decent length. Drink this over the next four to seven years.
