Hare’s Chase Lepus Shiraz 2022

Share

Named after the Lepus constellation that depicts a Hare bounding ahead of Orion and his hounds. This is the icon wine of the brand. A very seamless wine that starts and ends with blackberries, plucked from their thorny stems, some blood plums and mulberries. Some licorice root, black pepper flickers throughout and oak is glossy but threaded with grainy tannins that ensure this wine will live a very long time. Everything sits in its place in this wine making for a potent but uniform drinking experience. Some tonka beans and carob make for long, echoing richness. You’ll be pleased with yourself for investing in this and should only serve it alongside top quality rib eye and true friendship. Drink now or cellar for another decade.
