Penfolds Bin 138 Barossa Valley Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2023

Share

As usual, Bin 138 brings a wealth of flavour to the glass. It definitely has presence, weight and persistence delivered via sturdy ripe tannins and boasting aromas of dusty toasty scents  mixed with black plum, red and blue berries, baking spices, dried flowers and earth. A density of ripe fruit defines the palate together with a noted tannin presence from well-integrated seasoned French and American oak.  There is an unspoken undercurrent of Barossa fruit power but that lovely aromatic spiciness lifts and elevates.
