Peter Lehmann The Barossan Grenache 2017

Share

At our recent Grenache Shootout The Barossan Grenache did very well, picking up a Silver Medal, so good to see it looking the goods again. The wine is from the 2017 vintage so no surprise to see it showing some age with baked earth and spicy aromas over a bed of red raspberry fruit with caramel-scented oak thrown in the mix as well, so plenty of complexity. It is then dry and quite supple with soft tannins helping to draw out a lingering finish. The wine is at peak now so no need to wait to enjoy it with mixed tapas.
