That distinguished Campari-like Amaro tang, alpine herbs, smoked orange peel, asphalt, polished cranberries, redcurrant, and an alluring rosehip character unmistakably talk of Alto Piemonte. The tannins are gutsy but have style; they are athletic and in for the long run. This is a Nebbiolo in splendid form, if only with a slightly higher alcohol accent.
